Karnataka to Offer Incentives to Government School Teachers for Strong SSLC Results

Shivamogga:
District in-charge Minister Madhu Bangarappa has announced that the Karnataka government will introduce performance-based incentives for teachers in government schools that achieve strong results in the SSLC examinations. Schools that demonstrate improved academic performance and increased student enrollment will be prioritised under this incentive scheme.

The minister emphasised that the initiative aims to motivate teachers, strengthen the quality of education, and encourage better learning outcomes across government schools in the state.

He further clarified that no government school will be merged forcibly. Bangarappa instructed the Deputy Director of the School Education and Literacy Department to initiate the school-merging process only with the consent of the School Development and Monitoring Committee (SDMC).

This move reflects the state’s commitment to enhancing public schooling and ensuring that teachers are recognised for their contribution to student success and overall school development.
