Uttar Pradesh Aims to Provide 1.5 Lakh Jobs Next Year, Says CM Yogi

The Uttar Pradesh government is planning a major employment drive in 2026, with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announcing that around 1.5 lakh jobs will be provided across various government departments in the coming year.

Addressing an official gathering, CM Yogi said the initiative is part of the state’s broader effort to strengthen governance, improve public services, and create meaningful employment opportunities for the youth.

Focus on Youth Employment:

The Chief Minister emphasized that job creation remains a key priority for the government. The proposed recruitments are expected to cover multiple sectors, including education, health, police, administration, and technical services, offering opportunities to candidates from diverse educational backgrounds.

“Our goal is to ensure transparent, merit-based recruitment while giving young people a chance to actively contribute to the state’s development,” Yogi Adityanath said.

Transparent and Timely Recruitment Process:

CM Yogi reiterated the government’s commitment to conducting fair and corruption-free recruitment processes, stating that technology-driven systems will continue to be used to ensure transparency. He also stressed that recruitment timelines would be strictly followed to avoid delays that affected hiring in the past.

Officials said preparations are already underway to identify vacancies and streamline the hiring process ahead of 2026.

Strengthening Public Services:

According to the government, the large-scale recruitment drive will not only benefit job seekers but also help improve service delivery across Uttar Pradesh. Filling long-pending vacancies is expected to boost efficiency in key departments and support the state’s rapid development agenda.

The Chief Minister added that skilled manpower is essential to meet the growing demands of a developing state like Uttar Pradesh.

Part of a Long-Term Development Plan:

The announcement aligns with the state government’s long-term vision of economic growth, investment promotion, and social development. Over the past few years, Uttar Pradesh has focused on infrastructure expansion, industrial growth, and skill development to create sustainable employment opportunities.

With the promise of 1.5 lakh jobs in 2026, the government aims to reinforce confidence among job aspirants and strengthen the state’s workforce.
