According to educators, when used thoughtfully, artificial intelligence can serve as a valuable aid in board exam preparation.

As exam pressure increases, educators say many students are increasingly using AI-powered learning tools to solve problems, understand difficult concepts, and review their mistakes before the exam.
Teachers point out that these tools can be especially beneficial in Mathematics, a subject where students often find it challenging to visualise concepts and tackle multi-step problems.
AI Tools Helping Students Understand Complex Maths Concepts
“Topics such as Differential Calculus, Vector Algebra, and Three-Dimensional Geometry often demand strong visualisation and the ability to solve multi-step problems. AI tools help students better understand these concepts visually and also allow them to practise through timed quizzes,” said Lakshi, PGT Mathematics at St Angels School, Rohini.
AI-based tools can assist students in breaking down difficult concepts during last-minute exam preparation.
“They also enable learners to quickly identify and analyse their mistakes, which is especially important while preparing for board exams,” she added.
However, she stressed that technology should support, not replace, traditional study practices.
Stepwise Solutions Help Students Gain Better Clarity
Understanding the reasoning behind each step is essential in Mathematics, particularly during board exam preparation.
Dividing complex problems into smaller steps helps students build stronger conceptual clarity and avoid common errors.
“In subjects like Calculus, Matrices, and Probability, students often require repeated practice and clear step-by-step solutions. AI platforms can assist students by offering detailed explanations and extra practice questions to strengthen their understanding.
However, she emphasised that students should mainly depend on NCERT textbooks, sample papers, and guidance from teachers to build a strong foundation.
