To pass the exam, students must score a minimum of 30 marks in each subject, including both theory and internal/practical components.
In addition, candidates need to secure an overall score of at least 33% (198 out of 600 marks). The passing mark was reduced from 35% to 30% last year to bring it in line with other education boards.
In 2025, the overall pass percentage was 69.16%, with Science stream students achieving the highest success rate, followed by Commerce and Arts. In comparison, the 2024 results reflected a better performance, with an overall pass percentage of 81.15%.
