The National Testing Agency (NTA) has introduced the ‘Pariksha Karmayogi: Capacity-Building Programme for Examination Officials’ on the iGOT Karmayogi Bharat platform to strengthen the supervision and invigilation of its examinations, including NEET (UG).
The initiative aims to build the skills and competencies of examination personnel while ensuring the smooth, secure and standardised conduct of offline, pen-and-paper-based tests. It is specifically targeted at key examination functionaries, including Centre Superintendents and Invigilators, who play a crucial role in administering NTA examinations.
The programme comprises four modules that cover various stages of the examination process. The first module provides an overview of the initiative and highlights the duties and responsibilities of examination officials in upholding fairness, transparency and integrity throughout the examination cycle.
The second module concentrates on pre-examination preparations, covering aspects such as centre readiness, security measures and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The third module focuses on examination-day activities and is structured into four phases: before the examination begins, at the start of the examination, during the examination and after its completion.
The fourth module functions as a Quick Reference Guide, offering a concise summary of important instructions, responsibilities and operational guidelines for examination officials.
Available on the iGOT Karmayogi Bharat platform, the programme provides standardised, self-paced training along with certification based on assessments. It is expected to enhance procedural compliance, operational effectiveness and accountability at examination centres across the country.
The NTA stated that adequately trained examination personnel are essential for conducting large-scale national examinations in a fair and efficient manner. By promoting uniform standards in examination administration nationwide, the programme strengthens the agency’s commitment to transparency, integrity and excellence.
According to the agency, the launch of Pariksha Karmayogi underscores its ongoing efforts to utilise technology-enabled capacity building and reinforce the examination ecosystem through a skilled and certified workforce.
